adSage- The Only Facebook Agency in China

Facebook is no longer just a social networking website for college students like the movie “social network” portrayed. As of December 31, 2011, it has 854 million users worldwide. Moreover, the activity on Facebook is remarkable: more than 250 million photos posted, more than 100 billion likes, and 2.7 billion published comments per day.

Although Mark Zuckerberg said “making your site interesting is more important than making money” but now, advertising is the main source of income for Facebook. In 2011, Facebook’s revenue reached $943 million USD, and 83% is from advertising.

Even though China does not allow Facebook to enter the country, Zuckerberg and his company will never give up the Chinese internet market. This is not the first time Facebook has tried to access the Chinese market. At the end of 2010, Zuckerberg visited China and called a meeting with several internet tycoons, seeking the possibility of cooperation in the beginning of 2011. In addition, Zuckerberg has set up a sales office in Hong Kong as headquarter for Chinese marketing businesses.

Contrary to popular belief, Facebook is not very well known in the public, has it would hope to be in China. Facebook now has partnership with adSage in the Asia-Pacific region to help Facebook enter China’s advertising market. Now with adSage, Facebook has more than 300 Chinese enterprises doing advertisement on their site.

adSage is a leading digital marketing service and software development company. adSage’s CEO ZhaoHui Tang, holds more than 20 American patents in the field of data mining and search engine technology.  Before joining adSage, Tang was one of the founding members of adCenter laboratory and was the chief manager of Microsoft AdCenter. When Facebook needed to find a qualified advertising platform partner its first thought was adSage.
At the end of 2010, adSage launched its first product for Facebook named adSage for Facebook (AFF). This software helps Facebook solve many customer demands. This product has now been updated to adSage for performance (AFP). It provides Facebook advertising optimization service and also overseas search engine ad management.

Traditional social statistics may take several months to find accurate targeting groups, by using Facebook, the time of accumulating this information is reduced greatly.  Facebook has the ability to classify its users by age, gender, occupation and so on. Due to the “like” button used in Facebook, it is easier to classify people rapidly based on their preferences.

The behavior of all the users will then be available to adSages’ analytics team. They will base the user preferences by the characteristics and behavior habits they post on Facebook; and through that start to develop a strategy using the adSage for Performance software.
